Allsvinn- Meaning ("Very Fast") or ("All Swift" ) was one of the horses that drews the Sun's chariot. The other horse was Arvakr. In horse Mythology, runes had magic power. To manage their work, Allsvinn had a rune in his hoof and Arvarkr in his ear and the shield Svalin ("The Cooling") to protect them from the Sun's embers.
